We identified a big problem companies had a few years ago: automating processes between their tech stack and WordPress setup. Many businesses found it difficult to integrate their WordPress ecosystem, which includes their websites and plugins, with accounting software, email automation platforms, and CRMS. Because of this disparity, developers had to rely on a combination of integration plugins, custom scripts, and native integrations to close the gap. However, this strategy meant they were handling, paying for, and debugging them independently for every need.

With hundreds of integrations collaborating to ensure seamless operations, integrations are now an essential component of any modern business. However, many still handle WordPress integrations differently than their other business app integrations, despite their significance.

Thus, we posed two important questions to ourselves:

  • What obstacles are making businesses approach WordPress integrations differently than they do other integrations with the business tech stack?
  • Is the conventional method of integration long-term viable?

We discovered that there aren’t many options that offer thorough integrations between WordPress and other SaaS tools or between various WordPress plugins. As a result, as businesses grow, they discover that their configuration of several integration solutions results in rising subscription fees and more work. The advantages of integration are not fully realised by traditional approaches.

The path to integration

We made WordPress integrations a fundamental component of the Zoho Flow platform to give you a complete and long-lasting solution to your WordPress integration needs. A modest selection of well-known form plugins, including Contact Form 7, WPForms, and Gravity Forms, marked the start of the adventure. Less than a year later, in June 2024, we integrated 50 WordPress plugins. Our users’ overwhelming response demonstrated to us the importance of these efforts in solving their workflow automation and integration problems.

We’re happy to report that Zoho Flow supports over 100 WordPress plugins, enabling you to automate processes between more than 1,000 business apps and your WordPress ecosystem. Additionally, the WordPress Plugin Directory’s Zoho Flow plugin has surpassed 4,000 downloads.

With plugins like WooCommerce, WPForms, WordPress.org, and Elementor among our most popular integrations, our WordPress integration gallery covers a wide range of topics, including e-commerce, online forms, security, CMS, marketing automation, and more.

What comes next?

This is only the start of what we have in store for the future:

  • Increase the number of plugins in various categories and extend the actions and triggers for already-existing plugins.
  • Expand our collection of pre-made integration templates, which currently numbers over 25,000, to make integration setup even simpler.
  • Improve WordPress integrations’ responsiveness and speed to give the impression that automations happen instantly.

Our objective is to assist you in consolidating all of your integrations so that handling them doesn’t become yet another headache brought on by programs designed to increase efficiency and productivity.
